    Frequently asked questions

What can I expect on my first visit?
We'll begin with a brief conversation about what's brought you in, along with your health history and goals for the session. This is followed by a short assessment to better understand your posture, movement, and any areas of concern, so your treatment can be tailored to your needs. After that, you'll have privacy to undress to your underwear and get settled on the table under warm linens. Each session is unhurried, so your full booking time is dedicated entirely to your care.
    What should I wear?
Comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing is ideal. During treatment you'll be draped with linens at all times — only the area being worked on is uncovered. Wear what makes you feel at ease. For your comfort and professionalism, we kindly require underwear to be worn during all treatments.
What's the difference between remedial and relaxation massage?
Remedial is targeted, treatment-based work — addressing pain, postural issues, injury recovery, or specific tension using deeper techniques. Relaxation is a slower, more flowing massage at gentler pressure, designed to settle the nervous system. If you're not sure which to book, get in touch and we'll guide you.
    What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel, so the time can be offered to someone else. Late cancellations or no-shows may attract a fee.
How do private health rebates work?
Rebates for remedial massage may apply depending on your fund and level of cover. HICAPS is available for on-the-spot claiming, or a receipt can be provided for manual claims if you prefer. Coverage and rebate amounts vary — check with your fund if you're unsure.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself. Linens, towels, and natural oils are all provided. If you have a referral, scan, or notes from another practitioner you'd like to share, feel free to bring them along.
